Production Factory

Overview

The Production Factory is the way to convert natural resources into more useful products, allowing you to make steel, fuel, and rubber. These resources are useful for either the Workbench Factory or for other uses.

Production Factories can only be placed within the Factory Resource Node.

Types

There will be more than one type of Production Factory, but they all function the same way:

Multiple inputs + X amount of time = Y amount of items.

Example factories:

Type Name Input Time to Create Output Factory Craft
Steel Mill 18 Iron, 9 Coal 2m 2–4 Steel
Oil Refinery 8 Crude Oil 2m 4–6 Gasoline
Rubber Factory 8 Latex, 3 Coal OR 32 Crude Oil, 12 Coal 2m 4–8 Rubber

Uses

Each of these resources has its own uses:

  • Steel is commonly used within vehicles.
  • Gasoline is commonly used to fuel vehicles after they have been built.
  • Rubber is used for a mix of vehicles and weapons.

Tiers

There are 3 factory tiers.

Each tier will:

  • Reduce production wait times by 10% per tier.
  • Increase the minimum output by 10% per tier.
  • Increase the maximum output by 10% per tier.

Factory tiers will be upgraded during the Nodesweep.
